PARKSVILLE — The Oceanside region remains one of the most expensive residential real estate markets on Vancouver Island.
Data from the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board shows the average sale price of a single-family home in Parksville-Qualicum was $612,000 last month, up 11 per cent from April of last year
The board’s past-president Janice Stromar says it’s definitely a seller’s market.
It’s still a very difficult market for people who don’t qualify to buy a home greater than $500,000. The upper end of our market has started to stabilize a little bit more but we are fully in a seller’s market.
Seventy-five single-family homes changed hands in Oceanside last month.
Parksville-Qualicum is eclipsed by only the Victoria market for the most expensive single-family homes on the island.
