Arrowsmith SAR hopes to bolster volunteer numbers

PARKSVILLE — Arrowsmith Search and Rescue has put the call out for people interested in volunteering for the vital local organization.

President Nick Rivers said ideally they’d like to add 15 to 20 new members to their ranks.

He said Arrowsmith SAR members would acquire the highest level of certification possible.

“The team environment is amazing, working with a group of people so closely you end up as family,” Rivers said. “Everyone in the organization is great, you build lifelong relationships.”
