We just celebrated BC Day, and I thought: What better artist for this week Than Valdy? Sure he was born in Ontario, but he did buy an acreage in Sooke when he was just 25 and has been a BC fixture since.
Valdy’s albums run the range from Pop, folk and country, and have earned him numerous awards and accolades over the years. He’s also made a name for himself in visual media. He’s guested on a number of TV shows, and had his music featured in a Steve McQueen movie.
So Play me a Rock and Roll Song! and enjoy Valdy! your Lounge Artist of the Week.

Valdy has been here a long time and I have met him years ago in Vancouver and he has a recognizable voice that brings smiles. My brother played with Valdy. Nice family man.
